As a memory aid for our students (and as a teaser for our not-yet-but-soon-to-be-students) we give you the full list of basic steps and partner work which we normally teach in our Level 1, 2 and 3 classes. Finding the right level for you: If you are wondering what level is best suited for you, you can use the following guidelines:
Don't let this scare you off, these are mere indications. Some people are natural dancers, others are very fast learners, still others go out every weekend to the salsa clubs and have a lot of exercise. Use your common sense. If you start at level 2 but feel like things are going too slow, try to do level 2 and 3 for a while and then continue at level 3. If you have several years of experience but have no clue what dancing on-2 is all about, take a few classes at level 1 or 2 until you get the feeling and then continue at level 3. It is in both your and your fellow students advantage to find the correct level of classes to attend.
